Service Description

Ballroom Dancing has its roots as a competitive dance style, and we are proud to present a programme that helps students learn and prepare for competition and tests. Our founders own experience in the competitive dance world has taught them how working towards a goal and measuring yourself can help accelerate learning. Added to this is the fact that in dancing, as you are judged by professional adjudicators, you never really compete against anyone. The only thing you can control is your own performance. This takes away the internal competition between students and means we can all work as a group and support each other. The BEE a Champion programme is for students aged 5 or older with ambitions to take their dancing further and learn in a more intense and focused environment. These classes are meant to be a supplement to your existing BallroomBees Classes. We will focus more deeply on body mechanics and body coordination and timing specifically for the 10 dances of the Ballroom- (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep) and Latin-American (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive) curriculum performed in competitions Students will be able to compete in local competitions solo, as a couple or even partnered by a teacher and medal tests will be held twice per year with certified examiners. Students will very quickly see improvements in control and understanding of the technique behind the dances and will be able to practice themselves in a very different and focused manner. 16 Dec - 20 Dec
